Sword's management team has a collective experience of more than 50 years in the operational risk management field of financial IT. This collective depth of understanding, expertise and experience has enabled Sword to continuously develop and deploy proven, award-winning and unrivalled solutions for operational risk management and regulatory compliance to numerous blue-chip clients in the financial services, banking and insurance industries.

Seamus O'Farrell MANAGING DIRECTOR

Seamus has specialised in risk management and reporting solutions for global financial institutions since 1984.  Prior to SWORD, he worked at Unilever and SG Warburg in London, and with Quay Financial Software in Dublin.

In 1995, in conjunction with Swiss multinational Comit Gruppe, he set up a successful risk management system development operation, building a significant client roster of blue chip financial firms.

Seamus holds a B.A. (Mod), Economics & Engineering Science from Trinity College Dublin.

Richard Pike CHIEF PRODUCT STRATEGIST

With more than fifteen years experience in Risk Management and Treasury IT, Richard has analysed, designed and project managed the development of core treasury and risk management systems for large financial institutions, including UBS, Citibank, Schroders, Unicredito, and AIB Bank.

Before joining Sword Richard worked in various roles in ABNAmro, Bain, and Quay Financial Software, and Comit Gruppe. Richard is a regular speaker and writer on risk management issues and was recently named one of the top 50 faces of operational risk by OpRisk & Compliance magazine.

Richard holds a BSc (Computer Science, Statistics, Psychology) from University College Dublin.

Liam has over 15 years experience in financial IT, including analysis, project design and implementation of operational risk, euro changeover, credit risk, and general retail banking IT systems.

Prior to SWORD, Liam worked with leading Irish banking software developer Quay Financial Software, and with LogicaCMG in London. In 1995, Liam set up the Dublin-based operational risk development operation of Swiss multinational Comit Gruppe. Liam holds a B.A. B.A.I Hons (Engineering - Software) from Trinity College Dublin.
